The Family Reporter
I work in mental health, and I kept hearing questions from patients and families that research papers couldn't fully answer. So I started asking parents directly, in nurseries, in parks, wherever people were happy to talk. Because the people living it often know something the studies miss.

Why I'm Doing This
Why I'm Doing This
In my work in mental health, patients and families ask me questions that don't always have easy answers, questions research papers try to answer from a distance. So I go out and ask parents directly. I've spoken to mums in nurseries, families out walking in parks across London, and parents just getting on with their day. Almost every time, they say something a little different from what the studies say, because they're the ones actually living it. That's the whole idea behind The Family Reporter: honest answers, from people with real, lived experience.

How I Find These Conversations
How I Find These Conversations
I've spoken to mums in nurseries, families out walking in parks across London, parents just going about their day. No clipboard, no script, just one honest question and space to answer it however feels true.

How It Becomes a Podcast Episode
A patient asks me something
In my clinical work, someone often wonders how other parents handle the same thing.

Run a Parent Group or Community Hub?
If you lead a parent group, nursery, or community hub anywhere in London, I'd love to come and record an episode with your members. It's low effort on your end, completely optional for anyone who takes part, and every conversation genuinely helps other parents and patients feel less alone.
